Industrial Property Attorney – President
Manuel Degret holds a master’s degree in private law (Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne) and is a graduate of CEIPI – the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies at the University of Strasbourg.
As President of Cabinet Degret, he assists his clients in trademark, design, domain name and appellation of origin law (PDOs), as well as contractual matters. He provides both advisory services and strategic guidance for the protection and enhancement of intangible assets.
He is personally involved in high-stakes cases and ensures the delivery of pragmatic legal solutions tailored to his clients’ economic objectives, both in France and internationally.
Jacques DEGRET
Industrial Property Attorney – Founder
Founder of Cabinet Degret, Jacques Degret is a graduate of CEIPI, an engineer from ENSAIT and the French Institute of Rubber, and holds training in scientific work organization.
A patent, trademark, and design attorney, he is an accredited representative before the INPI, the EUIPO, and the European Patent Office. He has supported numerous industrial and institutional players in structuring and protecting their innovations.
With more than fifty years of experience, he brings strategic vision and recognized expertise, built on an in-depth knowledge of industrial sectors and intellectual property practices.
Bruno RAIBAUT
Industrial Property Attorney – Partner
Bruno Raibaut is an industrial property attorney specializing in trademarks and designs. He holds a Master’s degree in Private Law (University of Toulouse) and a Master’s degree in Industrial Property (University Paris II Assas).
Active since 1992 and a qualified CPI since 1997, he has been working at Cabinet Degret for more than twenty years, after gaining experience in several renowned firms. He assists his clients with legal advice, strategy, and litigation.
He regularly speaks at conferences in France and abroad and is a member of the CNCPI’s Designs & Models and Artificial Intelligence committees, contributing to forward‑looking discussions within the profession.
Laurie BABAZ
Industrial Property Lawyer
An industrial property lawyer, Laurie Babaz has been assisting Cabinet Degret clients since 2014 with matters related to trademarks, designs and models, and domain names.
She is involved in defining filing strategies, managing and streamlining portfolios, monitoring registration and litigation procedures before intellectual property offices, as well as handling extrajudicial procedures related to domain names.
Holder of a Master’s degree in Business Law (Université Paris‑Est Créteil) and a Master’s degree in Internet and Information Systems Law (Université de Strasbourg), she works in both French and English with a rigorous and practical approach.
